First things first…

…I’m the realest

lol jk

Zelda & Imelda by Lindsey Borgman_-121First of all, I do not go to the gym, as will become apparent from the following pictures. I usually work out at home but due to bad lighting in my house…hahahaaa that was a joke, did you get it? I said my house…haha. Due to bad lighting at home I usually take these workout pictures outside but it was waaay too cold for that so I went to the gym and I had no idea what to do.

Zelda & Imelda by Lindsey Borgman_-123So of course I hopped onto the treadmill. I figured it would be safest thing to do, but for some reason, I CANNOT run. I do not know why. I’m going to try to start running when it gets warmer just for kicks. But for now, I can’t run, so I ended up walking.

Zelda & Imelda by Lindsey Borgman_-122I wanted to show the back of this top because it adds some spice to the otherwise plain white racerback. And I always tie my lose tanks because like I said I like my workout clothes to stay in place. I have a better workout session that way but that’s just me.

Lindsey_Borgman-1389Look at my face in this (and the next) picture guys. A friend in undergrad always said I looked like Minnie Mouse but I couldn’t see it. I see it now…lol

So anyway, I moved on to this machine. I figured it was some sort of machine to work the arm, biceps in particular? So I started doing some reps.

Zelda & Imelda by Lindsey Borgman_-128Piece of advise: I was trying to get a bicep workout on this machine so notice how my elbow stays to my side or my front the entire time. It never goes behind me. That works the biceps. If you go behind you, you start working the shoulders. There’s nothing wrong with working the shoulders, but yeah you get the point.

Zelda & Imelda by Lindsey Borgman_-124So next, I moved on to this thing. I’m pretty sure it’s a back and shoulders machine but I wasn’t interested in that. I wanted to do some pull-ups instead so i set it to 275 lbs. I knew there was no way I could move that so it would stay in place for me to do some pull-ups one pull-up.

Morale of the story: Be creative and innovative to satisfy your needs.

P.S: Please do not try this at home. It could be potentially dangerous.Zelda & Imelda by Lindsey Borgman_-126On the the outfit. My top is extremely comfortable…perforated to allow circulation of air. My pants are very comfortable and super durable. Usually I’m scared to pull on my mesh clothing or throw them in the washer cuz they might rip. Not these pants, the mesh is so high quality. One downside of such high quality mesh is that it’s almost not visible if you’re as dark as me so that kind of takes away from the style.

Lindsey_Borgman-1365My shoes are another comfortable pair from ASICS. This is actually from the male collection, but I really liked it so I got it. Just buy a size and half lower than your regular ladies size. And for my Tony Horton/P90X fans out there you may recognize these from P90X3. I believe his name was Malakai? The former Olympian. So yup, you’ll be joining pretty good company if you get a pair 🙂 My sweatband is also from ASICS…comes in very handy for wiping sweat off my face, thereby preventing it from going into my eyes. Sweat in the eyes burns people, it burns!

Zelda & Imelda by Lindsey Borgman_-125The holiday season just ended and you probably ate a lot more than your health & fitness goals call for, so did I, but like Queen Elsa rightly said: Let it go! It’s a new year and you still have 360 days to make this year a great one!

They say health and fitness is 20% workout and 80% nutrition but someone really needs to insert genetics into the equation, cuz I’ve been doing squats and lunges for over a year and look what I still have to work with, but I’m not giving up, and neither should you 🙂
