And so it begins!
I love Christmas. I really can’t explain why. I don’t get gifts and if I’m not working, I’m at home. However, every year when the decorations start to go down, I go into a funk. I think that is why I chose this outfit for New Year’s. It really lifts my spirits.
I went outlet shopping with my mother and grandma. We entered Ann Taylor and there this dress was.
My grandma was convinced that this dress was made just for her. She was adamant and felt that we were hating on her sexy. Eventually we convinced her not to buy it, and she ordered something that would fit her body type a little bit better. However, every time I wear this dress, she comments, “oh, that’s my dress”, with a huge sigh afterward. She will occasionally call asking if the shop still carries the dress. It’s little things like this that brighten my day.
Every time I wear this dress, I think of my dear, hilarious grandma who still believes she is 20 years old and that brings a smile to my face, lifting me out of my funk and making me ever so thankful for the little things in my life.
l am so grateful for the year that I was blessed with. The fact that my entire family is healthy and alive leaves me no reason to be sad or upset about anything in life. At the years end don’t focus on things in your life that did not happen, be thankful for all the blessings and the things you actually do have.
Thank you very much for taking the time our of your day to check out our blog. I always say it, but truly this is such a fun experience and it would not be possible without you making the time to read what we have to say.
Happy New Year and the very best in the coming year
